108 is a set of two wooden board with 108 holes each to place marbles everytime the user is stressed. When it is filled with marbles, it becomes a foot massage board - to celebrate stress and have a relaxing/de-stressing moment in exchange.

Project 108 was inspired from the Buddhist concept of rebirth through 108 sufferings. Through this simple object, I wanted to highlight the fact how stress can be embraced as essential and delightful part of every life. Stress is often scapegoated as the main reason that leads to all types of illness, but it is certainly inevitable and speaks to our survival instincts. This project was an alternate iteration of my Bachelor degree thesis project Selah, born through my journey of exploring the various aspects of the project's core idea - stress.
